Belle, a beautiful, intelligent girl known as an “eccentric” in her village, lives alone but is also lonely. She encounters the Beast, transformed by magic, and their fates change dramatically. The Ballet Show, whose concept is “ballet performances everyone can enjoy,” combines ballet, a style that conveys emotion through physical expression without using dialogue, with a variety of performing arts, including music, opera, and ballroom dance, to create a deep and rich portrayal of the emotion of “love.” The Tokyo performances will consist of five performances, starting with an evening performance on Friday, August 29th, followed by matinee and evening performances on Saturday, the 30th, and matinee and evening performances on Sunday, the 31st. Tickets for the matinee performance on Saturday, the 30th, have already sold out, and only a limited number of seats remain for the other performances. Nerea, artistic director and professional ballet dancer, has decided to take a temporary hiatus from leading stage roles after this performance, and will star alongside her husband, Yamakai, also artistic director and professional ballet dancer. In addition, the evening performance on Saturday the 30th and the matinee performance on Sunday the 31st will feature versions starring Nakano Reimi and Ishii Tomoya, with Yamakai playing the role of “Kre (Key)” and Nerea playing the role of “Rose.” In Osaka, Nakano Reimi and Ishii Tomoya will star in the evening performance on Wednesday, September 10th, and Yamakai and Nerea will star in the matinee and evening performances on the following day, Thursday, September 11th. Enjoy the diverse “Beauty and the Beast The Ballet Show” with a double leading cast in a total of eight performances in the two cities. * Total number of views for Yamakai & Nerea’s YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels (as of August 2025) [Crowdfunding Exceeds 5.8 Million Yen!] Thank you very much for your support! Comments from the main cast ◼Beast: Yamakai Today, the curtain finally rises on “Beauty and the Beast: The Ballet Show”! I’ve spent countless hours practicing and rehearsing with my colleagues, refining the stage sets, lighting, costumes, and every other element. I’m thrilled to see all of that effort finally come to fruition in front of you all tonight. And this production also holds a special meaning for me. It’s my final performance as the lead with Nerea, with whom I’ve danced for eight years. All the time I’ve spent with her is embodied in this story of the Beast and Belle. I want to dance to the end, without a single regret, right up until the final pas de deux. Each of the eight performances has a different drama, and in the performance with co-stars Reimi and Tomoya, I’ll be performing the role of “Clé (Key).” I will do my best not only as the lead actor, but also as a presence that supports the worldview of the play. This play is the culmination of our efforts, and at the same time, the beginning of a new challenge. I hope that you will come to the theater and experience a “love story” that will stay in your heart.

With this performance, I have decided to take a temporary break from performing as a leading actress. That’s why I put such special feelings into the role of Belle. With gratitude in my heart to all those who have supported me up until now, and to all those who have supported me through crowdfunding, I want to live out my life as Belle until the very end. It also brings me great joy to see Reimi and Tomoya on stage as co-leads. As I stand on stage, I feel both the journey I’ve made so far and hope for the future. Please come to the theater and watch Belle’s story, which I’ve poured my heart and soul into.

I hope you will come and see the love story of Belle and the Beast. I also performed as a cold-caller on a day when I wasn’t the lead, and struggled with unfamiliar movements like tango, flamenco, and jazz dance during rehearsals, but I’ll do my best to balance both. I’d like to dance with gratitude to Yamakai and Nerea for giving me this opportunity. We’d also like to thank everyone who contributed to our crowdfunding campaign and our fans. We’ll make it a wonderful, amazing performance. Please come and experience it at the theater.

As Belle, I want to breathe life into the story and cherish every moment on stage, so that everyone who sees it will have a special, unforgettable experience. I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us through crowdfunding, and to all the fans who support us every day. Image
