researchers at the University of Tokyo and Keio University Ghost in the Shell is a monumental sci-fi manga and animation that Japan is proud of around the world. “Optical camouflage,” a technique featured in the original work that allows people and objects to disappear and reappear, has finally become a real-life technique.

A production image evoking futuristic optical camouflage “Coolest” by the US Times magazine We are pleased to announce that EVISION Co., Ltd. has acquired the entire patent for this innovative technology, which was also selected as one of the “World’s Greatest Inventions.” The key figures behind this patent include Professor Masahiko Inami of the University of Tokyo, who is also our company director; Susumu Tate Professors Emeritus of the University of Tokyo; Kota Minamizawa of Keio University; and Maki Sugimoto of Keio University, all of whom are leading experts in responsive research. Under the supervision of Professor Masahiko Inami, our company has previously applied this optical camouflage technology to stage productions. We have announced “VR Noh Ghost in the Shell,” which incorporates this technology. The production has garnered great acclaim both domestically and
