anniversary of the album’s release, a concert titled “5th WHEEL 2 the COACH 30th LIVE” was held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall) on September 2nd. The live show kicked off with SDP’s latest release, “Beat Michi,” due out May 5, 2025. The lineup included SDP members ANI, Bose, and SHINCO, along with KASHIF on guitar and LUVRAW on talkbox, and they performed songs like “Rinne Rinne Rinne,” “Chuyo Heibon Punch,” and “Otona ni Nattemo.” Bose’s comment, “Everyone, raise your hands today! We’re expanding everyone’s range of motion!” drew laughter and applause. The second half of the show began with a revival of “AM0:00,” the opening track from the album “5th~.” The three-member SDP band performed the serious “B-BOY Bungaku” and the funny “Nobel Yancha DE Award,” following the album’s track order. Lyrics were projected onto the screen, and the sight of many listeners singing along was impressive. “All the tracks in today’s live performance are from records from that time,” Bose said, faithfully recreating the sound from 30 years ago. At the same time, the band’s various parts, including rap and composition, proved that SDP is still a force to be reckoned with, making for a tight, fulfilling
performance. The audience’s excitement reached a fever pitch with the still-popular “Summer Jam ’95” and a long-awaited performance of “Gigolo 7.” The cheers continued to grow until the album’s closing tracks, “Ultimate Breakfast & Beats” and “8:30 AM.”
