Nicole Fujita’s Shio Ramen Edition In the kitchen, Nicole sings “I’ve always loved this ramen” while holding a bag of her favorite “Sapporo Ichiban Shio Ramen.” First, she removes the noodles and toppings from the pot and places them in a bowl. She adds the powdered soup and chopped sesame seeds, mixes them together, and then adds the cooking water afterward! My Miso Ramen ●Ingredients: 1 packet of Sapporo Ichiban Miso Ramen, 1/2 green onion, 1 egg 1. Cut the green onion diagonally so that it cooks through easily. 2. Add the green onions to a pot of boiling water with 500ml of water and boil for about 1 minute. 3. Add the noodles and boil. 4. After about 1 minute of adding the noodles, add the egg and gently cover it with the noodles to prevent the egg from breaking up. 5. (After boiling the noodles) Turn off the heat after 2 minutes, add the powdered soup, and mix. 6. Place the ramen in bowls and sprinkle with shichimi spice to finish. ●Tips: The key is to make the noodles firm and the eggs soft-cooked. When boiling the eggs, be careful not to break the yolk. Gently cover the yolk with noodles. Nicole Fujita’s recipe: Mix first! Tastes better! Salt Ramen ＞ ●Ingredients: 1 bag of Sapporo Ichiban Salt Ramen, 3 sheets of nori seaweed, 1 egg yolk, 25g bean sprouts, 30g cabbage 1. Place the noodles in a pot of boiling water with 500ml of water. 2. After boiling the noodles for about 1 minute, add the bean sprouts and cabbage. 3. After boiling the noodles for 3 minutes, remove the noodles and toppings from the pot and place them in a bowl. Mix the noodles and toppings with the powdered soup and chopped sesame seeds. 4. Pour the boiled water into the bowl from step 3, mix, and top with torn nori seaweed and egg yolk. ●Tips: By directly mixing the soup powder with the boiled noodles, the flavor of the soup will be absorbed into the noodles, making it easier to feel the unified flavor. It also tastes delicious when made with Korean seaweed. ■Excerpt from an interview with Hiroiki Ariyoshi –Please tell us how you felt when you found out you’d be appearing in this commercial. I was so happy. It’s been a dream of mine since elementary school. Finally, I’m actually going to be in a commercial for my beloved Sapporo Ichiban Miso Ramen! I was so happy. –How long have you been eating Sapporo Ichiban Miso Ramen? Please tell us about any memories or stories. I started eating it when I was 10, so it’s been 40 years. It’s been a blink of an eye (laughs). My mom told me to try making it myself for the first time, and the Sapporo Ichiban Miso Ramen I had was so delicious. I think that was the catalyst for my independence. I think I became independent pretty quickly. It hasn’t changed much since then, but I remember the taste being exceptional back then. –In contrast to “Sapporo Ichiban Miso Ramen,” was there something that someone recommended to you as an adult? Is there anything or anything that you fell in love with? Lately, I’ve been enjoying raising children. It wasn’t something I was encouraged to do (lol), but it was something I had to do (lol). When it was decided, I was genuinely happy and immediately told my mother, and then my husband. I wonder if they’ve been looking around my house? We really do have it. We always keep it stocked, and whenever I go to the supermarket, I always buy Sapporo Ichiban Shio Ramen. I’ve loved Sapporo Ichiban Shio Ramen since I was a child, so I was really happy. -When do you usually eat Sapporo Ichiban Shio Ramen? My favorite routine is eating it on Sunday afternoon, but when I work hard every day, I sometimes come home tired. It’s already too late to make dinner, and it’s too late to order something, and it will take a while for it to arrive. So, I often find myself thinking, “Oh, I have some shio ramen!” I’m tired, but I want to treat my body!
