Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) Press Release: September 4, 2025 Exhibition “Eiko Ishioka I Design GINZA” held at Maison des Musées du Monde (MMM) Documentary photographs and other materials from the exhibition, which toured five art museums across Japan, will be exhibited from September 5, 2025, to January 10, 2026. Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) will host “Eiko Ishioka I Design GINZA” from Friday, September 5, 2025 to Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Maison des Musées du Monde (MMM), an art facility it operates in Ginza, Tokyo.

Design: Hiroaki Nagai (N.G.inc.) [About “Eiko Ishioka I Design GINZA”] “Eiko Ishioka I Design GINZA” launched at the Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art in September 2023. The “Design” exhibition toured five museums, including the Ibaraki Museum of Modern Art, Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, Shimane Prefectural Iwami Art Museum, and Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art, concluding in June 2025. The exhibitions “Eiko Ishioka: Can Graphic Design Survive?” at the Ginza Graphic Gallery (ggg) and “SURVIVE – Can Design Survive?” at Kyoto ddd Gallery, held in 2020-21, along with the Eiko Ishioka exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, were highly acclaimed and attracted large numbers of visitors. Eiko Ishioka (1938-2012) was widely known as an art director and designer active on the global stage. Along with her works, Ishioka’s words as an artist also have a powerful power to inspire us. Many visitors, regardless of age or occupation, were moved by the passion with which she devoted her life to expressing herself. The traveling exhibition “Eiko Ishioka I: Design” showcases her representative works, ranging from advertising campaigns to more personal exhibitions, book designs, and artwork, alongside her words. It could be said that her timeless works were only possible in that era, and we incorporated the “Red Tent” as a key element to capture the atmosphere of that era. This time, MMM will recreate a portion of the exhibition on a smaller scale, as well as document the traveling exhibition through photographs.
