CHALK’S Co., Ltd. Press Release: September 8, 2025 To Members of the Press [Press Release] Over 120,000 participants throughout the year! The mobile chalkboard car “Chalk Art” rolls out nationwide – sponsorship applications now open The “Chalk Art” mobile art project, which provides creative experiences to children, has officially launched. CHALK’S Inc. (Headquarters: Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Directors: Satoshi Horiuchi and Hiroshi Yamada) has officially launched the “Chalk Art Van,” a mobile art project that travels to commercial facilities, municipalities, and local events across the country to provide children with creative experiences. To coincide with this, we are now accepting corporate sponsors who support this project.

The extraordinary experience of drawing on a car, something they normally don’t get to do, brings out children’s creativity and naturally fosters communication between parents and children and the community. The children’s drawings are then left behind and travel to the next venue, weaving their thoughts across the country like “picture postcards.” (Chalk Art Car: Trademark Registration No. 71488) ●Chalk Art Car Special

Since our founding, we have been actively involved in planning and running art events centered around chalk art, extracurricular classes at schools, industry-academia collaboration events, and community revitalization events, in order to provide art experiences across the country that will bring a smile to the faces of even those who are not good at drawing. However, as we continued these
activities, we began to realize that, rather than holding a one-time event, we could deliver art experiences to more people if we had a portable canvas that could be carried anywhere. Because environmental conditions vary depending on the facility and region, our next challenge was to create a common “space” where anyone could easily paint, whether indoors or outdoors.

environment, whether at a facility or local government facility, and that would appeal to both children and adults, we arrived at the idea of ”turning the car itself into a giant blackboard.” And thus, the moving chalkboard car “Chalk Art” was born. This allowed us to provide a free-spirited, extraordinary experience without worrying about customers’ surroundings, leading to a strong draw that attracted more participants than we had anticipated. Furthermore, by “transporting” the children’s drawings to the next venue, a story was created in which the feelings expressed through the artwork spread throughout Japan, which itself creates secondary value by enhancing social media and media effects. ■Social Significance and Contribution to the SDGs Our company is based on the philosophy of “praise education,” and provides opportunities across the country for children to freely express themselves. We also use environmentally friendly art supplies like Kitpas and recycled blackboards to help us run our events with minimal environmental impact. We are developing this as a practical initiative for the SDGs, based on the three pillars of education, local revitalization, and environmental consideration.

Working with local businesses, local governments, and schools, we plan to bring smiles to the faces of over 120,000 children and their families. Together with sponsoring companies, we will expand this into a sustainable art project focused on the themes of education, community, and the environment, creating a new model that combines social value with advertising effectiveness. In the medium term, we aim to establish chalk art as a part of Japanese culture and will strengthen our efforts to establish it as a career aspiration for children in the future. We will also explore collaborations with other genres, such as sports and music, to create a society where art can be experienced in a wider variety of settings.
