[Event Announcement] “Tontu Festival 2025,” an inclusive festival to enjoy in nature, will be held at Metsa Village!
Decent Work Lab (NPO) Press release: September 8, 2025 To Members of the Press [Event Announcement] “Tontu Festival 2025,” an inclusive festival to enjoy in nature, will be held at Metsa Village! A festival where you can have fun and connect with people with disabilities and social good causes through content that can only be experienced here! Decent Work Lab (Head Office: Ota-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Fumika Nakao), a nonprofit organization that supports the employment of people with disabilities and provides consulting services to companies on improving employment environments, will be holding the “Tonttu Festival 2025,” an event to experience diversity, at Metsa Village (Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture) on Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th. The theme for the 5th annual event in 2025 is “Exciting and thrilling! Let’s go and explore!” You might be drawn in by the delicious aromas at a market and discover a special treat. You might be so engrossed in a workshop you try for the first time that your hands start working. A moment of laughter with someone might suddenly stay in your mind… “Small actions can lead to unexpected discoveries.” The Tonttu Festival is a fun way to connect with people with disabilities and social good causes by experiencing the various content scattered throughout the festival venue.

Specifically, each person has a “role” in some community, and we are creating an environment in which both the person and those around them are aware of that “role.” The term “role” here has a broad meaning, including things that can be changed into money and things that can’t be changed. Being involved in someone’s happiness, being thanked, and being helpful. The role of each person is recognized as important, and this leads to the way they live their lives. We work every day to create such a society. In particular, I would like to work with many professionals to create “roles” and “jobs” for people with disabilities who do not have adequate working environments, and through these activities, I would like to take a closer look at “work” for all people.
