The approximately 350 pieces of jewelry, meticulously selected from the Bvlgari Heritage Collection and precious private collections, represent chromatic masterpieces that trace the history of the Maison from its beginnings to the present, highlighting the deep ties between Italy and Japan and celebrating the two countries’ shared passion for art and design and rich cultural heritage. On being appointed as the navigator for the Japanese audio guide for this exhibition, Yamashita Tomohisa provided the following comment: “I am truly honored to be the host of the Bvlgari Kaleidos: Colour, Culture and Craft exhibition. As I read through the audio guide script, I was reminded of the beautiful scenery of Rome that I visited previously, and I enjoyed recording the audio while imagining Bvlgari’s colorful jewelry. In the audio guide script, there is a line that says, ‘For example, red represents passion.’ When I read this line, I remembered that I used the phrase ‘red passion’ in the song I wrote the lyrics for (‘Colorful’) exactly 20 years ago. Red has always been a colour that is synonymous with passion. Lol. Now, I’m also a big fan of blue, so I hope you’ll listen to the audio guide and discover what emotions it’s said to represent! You’ll encounter a number of precious Bulgari jewelry pieces, each a work of art. We’ll guide you through the world of Bulgari while unraveling their scientific and historical background. Let’s journey together through a dazzling world of color.”
