A program to develop cinematographers capable of working on the international stage has been launched. Japan Society of Cinematographers Cooperative Press Release: September 9, 2025 The Agency for Cultural Affairs has selected the Japan Society of Cinematographers (JSC) for its 2025 “Creators Support Project.” The organization has launched a program to develop cinematographers who can succeed on the international stage. The Japanese Society of Cinematographers (JSC) will promote the development of cinematographers who will be active around the world for three years, starting in July 2025.

international companies such as Netflix. JSC plans to collaborate with external organizations and educational institutions across industries and companies. We are also considering international collaborations with organizations such as the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and the European Union’s International Cinematographers’ Organizations Network (IMAGO).
