Minato Ward Press release: September 10, 2025 To Members of the Press We are currently seeking candidates for the creation of the Minato Arts Center “m~m” symbol mark! Minato Ward plans to open a new cultural and artistic hub, the Minato Arts Center (nicknamed m∼m (Mu-Mu)), in November 2027. We are currently seeking a contractor to create a symbol mark for this facility and handle related tasks. The selection process will be conducted via proposal submission, with the first round of screening (document review) and the second round of screening (presentations and interviews) to be announced after mid-November 2025. Minato Arts Center m-m Overview The facility will include a proscenium theater with seating for approximately 600, a hall with approximately 100 movable seats, studios, and a multipurpose room. As the ward’s core cultural and artistic hub, it aims to promote appreciation, participation, and creative activities in the arts and culture, as well as to develop talent in the arts and culture fields, foster exchange, mutual understanding, and values that embrace diversity, thereby contributing to the improvement of the welfare of ward residents.
