Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) Press Release: September 12, 2025 Dai Nippon Printing and Aspiretec begin demonstration of multilingual concierge service using AI characters Addressing the shortage of multilingual staff in tourist destinations and commercial facilities bustling with inbound tourists Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) and Aspiretec Co., Ltd. have developed a concierge service featuring conversational AI characters capable of providing multilingual support. A pilot project for this service will begin on September 17, 2025, at the Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBUYA, operated by DNP. Through this pilot project, DNP and Aspiretec will verify smooth communication with domestic and international consumers and the efficiency of facility operations. Visitors to tourist spots and commercial facilities will be able to easily obtain necessary information from AI characters, even when guide staff are busy, and will be able to smoothly converse with friendly characters in multiple languages. By providing appropriate information at each spot, this project will contribute to resolving social issues, such as the shortage of staff to handle customer service needs due to the increase in inbound tourists to Japan.
