The outdoor film festival “Beyond the Hill Forest Film Festival 2025” (hereinafter referred to as the Forest Film Festival) will screen 27 films all night at INN THE PARK Numazu, an accommodation park in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, featuring an impressive large lawn and spherical dome tents floating in the forest. Three screens will be screened throughout the night and into the morning, featuring well-known titles such as “Cinema Paradiso,” “Aftersun,” “Robot Dreams,” “The Concierge of Arctic Department Store,” “Call Me by Your Name,” and “Big Fish,” as well as recommendations from independent theaters, distributors, and other film festivals, and open entries selected from over 100 submissions. Also scheduled for screening is the short film “Last Scene,” directed, written, and edited by Hirokazu Koreeda, director of “The Monster” and “Shoplifters.” The film will be screened on a screen under the night sky.
