Takeo Press Release: September 17, 2025 [Paper Specialist Trading Company Takeo] “PAPER & TRIAL ─GMUND COLORS MATT & KAKO FUJITA─” Exhibition Held at Yodoyabashi Mihoncho in Osaka Designer Yoshiko Fujita will be participating in this exhibition themed around “Paper, Design, and Experimentation.” The exhibition will showcase the appeal of the German paper “Gmund Color Mat-FS.” A talk event will be held on the first day.

PAPER & TRIAL ─GMUND COLORS MATT & KAKO FUJITA─ Takeo Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Junichi Hirado) will be holding “PAPER & TRIAL ─GMUND COLORS MATT & KAKO FUJITA─” from Friday, October 10th to Sunday, December 7th at its showroom, “Takeo Yodoyabashi Sample Book,” in Yodoyabashi, Osaka. “PAPER & TRIAL” is themed around “paper, design, and experimentation.” The fifth installment features Gmund Color Mat-FS. Gmund Color Mat-FS is a fine paper from German paper manufacturer Gmund, featuring vibrant colors and a classic matte finish. The 48 color variations are created using Gmund’s proprietary color system, “Gmund Colors,” and all colors are designed to harmonize with each other. This exhibition features a V-cut pasted box made with Gmund Color Mat-FS, designed by Yoshiko Fujita. V-cutting is a processing method in which V-shaped grooves are cut into the cardboard core and then folded, resulting in a pasted box with sharp corners. By redesigning the angle of the grooves, we created a distorted box that looks different depending on the angle. Enjoy the new designs that change their appearance in a variety of ways with a wide range of color combinations. Keiko Fujita Art Director, Designer Born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1984. Graduated from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Design. Joined Sun-Ad that same year. His major works include “Fukuramu-chan” at Tokyo Station Gransta, Suntory Yamazaki Distillery, Suntory’s “Living with Water” newspaper advertisement, Korin-kyo, and Ukawa. He won the ADC Award in 2020-21 and 2024, and the JAGDA Award and JAGDA New Designer Award in 2023.
