The theme for the fifth event in 2025 will be “Exciting and thrilling! Let’s go find out!” We are currently recruiting participants for a workshop where you can experience “difference” and “sameness” through crafting, play, demonstrations, and more. [Held on October 4th] Learn about guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs! by Japan Assistance Dog Information Center Guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs. Learn about the work of these three types of assistance dogs and the lives of people with disabilities through demonstrations and hands-on experiences.

Specifically, we create an environment where each individual has a “role” within a community, and where both the individual and those around them are aware of that “role.” Here, “role” is used in a broad sense to include both monetary and unchanging roles. Being involved in someone’s happiness, being thanked, being useful. The role of each individual is valued and recognized, and this leads to living one’s life. We work every day with this goal in mind. In particular, we work with many professionals to create “roles” and “jobs” for people with disabilities, who currently lack adequate working environments, and through these activities, we hope to look at “work” for all people.
