Suzuki Eimi has created numerous artworks incorporating collage and painting of classical art, based on the themes of “life, prejudice, and prayer.” Her diverse activities include art direction for “NEWoMan YOKOHAMA,” the book design for Natsuo Kirino’s “Opal Flame,” and fashion design for the magazine “Soen.” She has captivated many fans both at home and abroad, particularly in Japan and France. Following an anatomical curiosity that asks, “What does the human body look like in famous paintings?”, these montages, featuring motifs of internal organs and bones, are an attempt to honestly engage with “art for art’s sake” while respecting classical art. The theme of this exhibition is “Polyphony (※)” – a display of new works that reflect on differences with others.
