Using the solid material of marble, I’ve created a pop and light interpretation of our mind and body. I’ve always felt that marble has something in common with bone and skin. I hope you enjoy the contrast between the texture and the theme. Galerie GEEK/ART Noriko Yamaguchi Galerie GEEK/ART will be holding an exhibition of new works by Suzuki Eimi, who weaves together a wide range of expressions both in Japan and abroad, this fall. Based on the themes of “Life, Prejudice, and Prayer,” this exhibition explores the theme of polyphony, where different voices and sensations resonate with each other. It is the first in the series to open a new door, carrying on the spirit of the 2024 ID series (*). The works, carved into marble polished over the years, mark a new level for the artist and, incorporating light and shadow, silence and voice, evoke a quiet dialogue in the viewer’s mind. ※Exhibition Series ID An exhibition series held by Galerie GEEK/ART in 2024. In this age of diverse values, we explore how coexistence can lead to a sustainable society, listening to questions about culture, history, and society. It poses the ever-changing question, “Who am I?” ■Gallery details
