Starmark Co., Ltd., which operates “Rosho-Tsuhan.net,” a website that sells products from long-established companies, proposed this day with the aim of reaffirming the value of these
“long-established” businesses, which Japan can be proud of around the world. Following discussions by the Toto Noren Association Public Relations Committee, the day was submitted to the Japan Anniversary Association, and the day was established. The date is derived from the Ebisuko Day, a festival for Ebisu, the god of commerce. ◆About Toto Norenkai The Toto Noren Association is a gathering of old noren shops with over 100 years of tradition, founded from the Edo period through the early Meiji period. It was founded with the aim of working together to preserve and develop traditions. Toto Norenkai
