Ehon Navi Co., Ltd. What is Book Santa (NPO Charity Santa)? This project, launched in 2017 with the motto “Anyone can become Santa at a bookstore,” brings together NPOs and bookstores across the country. This initiative works in various ways with over 300 support organizations and child welfare facilities to deliver books to children across the country who are currently living in difficult circumstances.(*) (※) Children in difficult situations due to various circumstances (financial reasons, illness/hospitalization, loss of a parent, disaster, etc.) (1) We accept book donations as an online bookstore. As of September 2025, 1,851 brick-and-mortar bookstores are participating in Book Santa. In addition, for those who don’t have a Book Santa bookstore nearby or who find it difficult to visit a bookstore for some reason, we will accept book donations through the official Book Santa online bookstore and Picture Book Navi. (About books that can be sent) The books listed in the online bookstore are decided based on the overall balance of Book Santa. – Books that are in demand among children and families – Books that are difficult to find in brick-and-mortar bookstores (e.g., books for elementary school students) – Books recommended by Book Santa supporters and Author Santas We take all of these factors into consideration and operate the site by changing the books as
appropriate. *About books not listed – We do not list long-selling or bestselling books that have received numerous donations from brick-and-mortar bookstores. – We check the publisher’s inventory and do not list books that are out of print or difficult to obtain due to low stock.
