Tickets will go on sale at Confetti (operated by Long Run Planning Co., Ltd., Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Daigo Kurematsu) from 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 27th. Asagaya Spiders’ latest production, “Farewell Twilight,” is finally starting its first main performance in two years. The residents are in an uproar. Since that day, Officer Takei, a wanderer, has been stationed here, protecting the village. Just as he was about to depart, at the age of 60, to return to his hometown to spend the rest of his life, news arrived: “He’s coming back.” The justice of a small village is shaken. A new work written by Keishi Nagatsuka. In November 2025, the Asagaya Spiders will be coming to Shimokitazawa in the fall. What does it mean to “be right?” Written and directed by Keishi Nagatsuka, he sharply captures the atmosphere of the times and challenges each and every viewer to consider their own sense of “justice.” “Goodbye Twilight” is [A story that questions justice through intense dialogue], [A unique theatrical experience], [Special project to expand theatergoing] This performance is filled with three fascinating aspects. Please look forward to this moving performance. Tickets here *Sale begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 27th. “Goodbye Twilight” Special Website
https://www.asagayaspiders.com/pg5901187.html Three charms that add color to the “Farewell Twilight” performance 1. A story that questions “justice” through intense dialogue “Goodbye Twilight” questions justice. A village surrounded by mountains is rapidly depopulating. This intense dialogue drama focuses on the psychology of the protagonist, who takes action for altruism, and the various people living in the same village. Together with new members of the theater company who joined in 2024, the play depicts the fluctuations of justice within individuals and collective psychology. What is righteousness? Another highlight of this production is the dark dialogue and somewhat off-kilter characters that are reminiscent of Asagaya Spiders’ works from the 2000s. Whether you’ve been watching Asagaya Spiders’ works for many years or have just met them since they became a theater company, don’t miss this opportunity! 2. A unique theater experience The venue for the Tokyo performance, “Small Theater Paradise,” seats just under 100 people. The distance between the stage and the audience is surprisingly close, creating an intimate space where you can even feel the performers’ breathing and gaze. You’re sure to feel a sense of realism, unity, and immersion. 3. Special projects to expand your theater experience A “backstage tour” will be held after each Tokyo performance. This is a popular feature at every theater company performance, where actors and staff members from the theater company explain the work, the stage set, and other aspects of the production. It lasts approximately 15 minutes, is free, and is open to everyone. In addition, some performances will include a “pre-talk” before the show begins, and support for visually impaired people is also available. For more details, please visit the “Farewell Twilight” special website. Asagaya Spiders will deliver an experience that goes beyond just “watching” a show.
