Strength and transience, sadness and joy, are two sides of the same coin like a seesaw, and I hope that the message conveyed is that it is up to each individual to sort and handle them in their own hearts. Choreography: Atsushi Matsuoka (Comment) In this choreography, I incorporated the desire that arose within me when I listened to the song: “I want to overcome the despair that washes over me every day and move forward.” While focusing on strength to match the energetic sound, I sprinkled the choreography with emotions such as “losing oneself,” “swirling despair,”
“alienation,” and “being overwhelmed.” I hope that you can feel even a little of the energy and conflict contained in the song through the choreography. MV director Riku Abe (comment) This work depicts the sense of emptiness that arises when one is consumed by despair and grief. Even if a person is alive, it does not necessarily mean they will find salvation. Standing in a whirlpool of emotions with no way out, time passes without changing. I wanted to drive home this sense of unreachable heaviness by deliberately not offering any light or hope, but rather ending the film in despair.
