(Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Noriaki Takahide; hereinafter “JDS”) will be broadcasting a new jointly produced program, “Kanpei and IMALU’s Final Home Grand Prix.” TOKAI Cable Network will broadcast the program on the community channel “Tokochan” (channel 11) from 9:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1st, and JDS will broadcast it on the local information channel “satonoka 4K/TV” (pronounced: Satonoka, CATV channels 420/401, etc.) from 7:00 PM on Friday, October 24th. The program features Kanpei Hazama, former leader of Yoshimoto Shinkigeki and current GM (General Manager) of the group, and IMALU, daughter of Sanma Akashiya and Shinobu Otake. IMALU currently splits her time between Amami Oshima and Tokyo. Kanpei, now 76 years old, has never considered splitting his time between two locations, or even having a place he’d want to return to. This program travels around the country with IMALU as our guide in search of a “final home” we’ll want to return to! In the first episode, we visit Akita City, Akita Prefecture. Kanpei: I was very happy. When I heard that I’d be working with IMALU, I knew her like a granddaughter because we’d been working together on “Kanpei Sanpo” (*), and she’d do a great job on the show (laughs). *”Kanpei Sanpo” is an abbreviation of “Time-Traveling Amema! Kanpei Sanpo,” a program that aired on “Tokochan” from November 2018 to March 2025. IMALU: I was so happy! I’m really excited because I think this program will allow us to travel all over Japan and discover the charms of each place! And to be able to appear on the program with Kanpei…it’s such an honor! Q. The theme of the program is “Searching for Kanpei’s Final Home.” What do you want to keep in mind as you search for your ideal “final home”? Kanpei: I’d really like to relax somewhere with a beautiful view, but at my age, I’m old enough to have to go to the hospital. That’s why I want to live somewhere where I can easily get to the hospital (laughs). A lot of stuff has been happening to my body lately. It’s like it’s breaking down (laughs). Q. IMALU, you live a dual life, split between Amami Oshima and Tokyo. Tell us your thoughts on “moving” and “dual-location lifestyle.” IMALU: Since I’ve been based on Amami Oshima, I’ve had many new experiences and I feel like I’ve grown as an adult. Furthermore, living surrounded by nature soothes my soul every day, and I am filled with gratitude to Amami and its people. Q. Please tell us your impressions of working together. Kanpei: IMALU is very reliable. I’m starting to lose my mind (laughs). She pointed it out properly, and I think she thought, “I have to be more responsible.” (lol)

I hope that this program will help me find a relaxing place for Kanpei, who is always busy in Osaka! Q. Are there any areas in “Final Home” that you’re interested in? Kanpei: I’m from Kochi Prefecture, so the Shikoku region. When I was younger, I was often invited to Tokushima Prefecture to perform in Shinkigeki, and I was very grateful for the support I received. IMALU: I live on an island, so I’m interested in life on other islands, and conversely, life in cold regions. I’d also like to learn about the food culture of each place! Q. The first episode is “Akita Edition.” What are some highlights of the program? Kanpei: It’s fun, so I hope you’ll check it out. We went to lots of different shops and felt the kindness of the people. Also, the Akita dog is really big (laughs). I think it’s a program that helps you learn about Akita. IMALU: I think Kanpei has fallen in love with both the delicious food and the Akita dogs! Q. Please give a message to viewers. Kanpei: There are a lot of different programs on TV and we do a lot of location filming, but this is a completely different and unique program.
