Cooperative Associations (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter “JA Zen-Noh”) have jointly produced “Poop Drill: The Connections of Food,” an educational booklet that helps elementary school students learn about the food cycle and environmental issues in a fun way. They have also released a browser game, “Spinning with Poop! Eco Farm,” creating a system that allows children to learn about resource recycling and the connections between life through play. ■ About the booklet “Unko Drill: The Connection Between Foods”

The story features “Poop Teacher,” “Poop Cat,” and “Poop Dog,” and is interwoven with conversational stories and quizzes. Questions like, “Are humans the only ones that poop?” and “What impact does livestock poop have on the Earth?” naturally pique children’s interest.

The book clearly illustrates how livestock such as cows, pigs, and chickens grow while producing manure, which enriches the fields and helps grow vegetables and fruit, which are then used to feed the livestock again. The story concludes by reiterating the meaning of the phrase “itadakimasu” (thank you for the meal) and calling for gratitude for the fact that people receive life through food. While humorous and approachable, the story is structured to teach viewers about the importance of the environment and food. JA Zennoh plans to distribute this booklet to elementary schools across the country and use it at events. ■ Game “Spinning with Poop!” About “Eco Farm”

In the game, players can experience the “cycle mechanism” by turning cow manure into fertilizer, using that fertilizer to grow grass and corn, and then feeding that to cows to produce milk, which then produces more manure. You carry fertilizer to the fields to grow grass and corn, then feed the crops to the cows to produce milk, which then poops again. Repeat this cycle to earn a score. The game is designed to leave you with a sense of connection to the environment and food, not just that it was fun. At Bunkyosha, we will continue to develop our business to convey “important lessons for life” so that children can live healthy and fulfilling lives. <Reference URL> Unko Drill Official Unko World https://unkogakuen.com/ “Poop Spinning!
