They began performing at live music venues in Tokyo. Word of the Parrots spread across the globe, attracting media attention, including coverage by the BBC. In August 1994, they became the first Asian band to perform at the Beatles Convention, the world’s largest Beatles festival, held annually in Liverpool, England, where they received thunderous applause from British fans. In July 2007, they performed as the support act for the Arctic Monkeys’ 100,000-audience live event at Lancashire County Cricket Club’s Old Trafford ground in Manchester, England. In November 2013, they were invited to a private party for Paul McCartney, who was visiting Japan, and performed for approximately an hour. They performed “I Saw Her Standing There,” with Paul himself on vocals, making headlines around the world. In January 2017, they received a letter from Paul McCartney inviting them to perform, and attended and performed at the “Farewell Party for U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy” held at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence. In February 2023, they performed at a dinner reception for the President of the Republic of the Philippines during his visit to Japan. They are close friends with many famous Western musicians, including Oasis and Arctic Monkeys, and are world-famous as a Beatles tribute (copy) band. They currently perform live both domestically and internationally, including at their home base at Abbey Road in Roppongi. At the age of 22, he traveled to France alone and trained at a famous Michelin-starred restaurant for approximately five years. After returning to Japan, he served as grand chef at renowned restaurants such as Isolde in Nishi-Azabu and La Rochelle Osaka, a professor at Le Cordon Bleu Kobe, the Japanese branch of the 120-year-old Parisian culinary school, executive chef at the Geihinkan wedding hall in Osaka Expo Park, which has its roots in the 1970 World Exposition, and executive chef at Kitano Garden, a beloved landmark in Kobe’s Ijinkan district.
