“Japan-Korea Song Battle” pits the TOP 7 Japanese performers selected from “King of Active Singers JAPAN” against the TOP 7 Korean performers selected from “King of Active Singers 2,” pitting them against each other in a heated battle of vocals. Tickets for the “King of Active Singers ALLSTAR DREAM MATCH,” featuring all of these performers, will go on sale in Korea in limited quantities starting today, October 2nd (Thursday) at 6 PM through NOL INTERPARK and BIGC. The Korea-Japan Song Contest broadcast on Korea’s MBN network drew attention for the showdown between Novelbright vocalist Yudai Takenaka, who won first place in the “King of Current Songs JAPAN” contest, and Park Seo-jin, winner of “King of Current Songs 2,” resulting in the highest viewership ratings among variety channels in the same time slot on that day. The show’s viewership spans a wide range of age groups, from teenagers to those in their 60s and older, and it appears that an increasing number of households are enjoying it with the whole family. Parents cheer on the Korean Top 7 and children cheer on the Japanese Top 7. The show’s official YouTube channel receives over 2 million views each time a video is uploaded, creating a new phenomenon as a show enjoyed by both parents and children.
