MIYACHI, a rap icon from Shibuya, Tokyo, released his new song “DO ME” today in collaboration with AK-69, a legend in the Japanese hip-hop scene. With classical pianist parents, Miyachi began writing lyrics and other creative endeavors while in high school. Miyachi studied acoustic engineering at Temple University in Philadelphia. He discovered hip-hop in high school, rapping with friends during lunchtime and producing beats after school. While attending Temple University in Philadelphia, he deepened his knowledge and grew significantly in the local hip-hop community. He traveled to Japan as a child and spent a lot of time learning the language. After graduating from college, he began rapping in Japanese. With the release of “WAKARIMASEN” in 2018, he quickly emerged on the Japanese hip-hop scene. He soon followed with notable singles such as “Messin” and “MAINICHI” featuring JAY PARK, and “Crazy Outside” featuring Thelma Aoyama. He has collaborated with legendary Japanese artists such as RADWIMPS, MISIA, m-flo, and ANARCHY. His second single, “Famima Rap,” reached number one on Japan’s viral hit charts. His YouTube channel, “KONBINI CONFESSIONS,” has 230,000 subscribers and showcases his humorous content, showcasing not only his musical talents but also his many other talents.
