Enjoy Halloween at Minacle For Halloween, the library will be transformed into a slightly mysterious and exciting space. “Minacle Halloween” began on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Oshimizu Library in the Oshimizu Learning Exchange Center “Minacle” in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. This year, a “challenge from the witch” awaits you. Follow the instructions to find and borrow books to receive a present. This year, we are also preparing events for junior and senior high school students so that a wider range of generations can enjoy the event. Both children and adults are welcome! Please come and join us. “Orders from the Witch” Borrow a book and get a present! “Orders from the Witch,” available until Friday, October 31st, is a project where you borrow books according to the instructions you receive. Gifts are available not only for children, but also for adults like parents, grandparents, and more. There’s also a photo spot in the playroom where you can take photos with a jack-o’-lantern. Get into the Halloween spirit by borrowing costume items at the counter! You can also make bat and pumpkin decorations in the children’s book section. Take some home and liven up your Halloween night. October 25th is “Let’s Play Board Games!” Analog games that even middle and high school students can get addicted to.

On Saturday, October 25th, we’ll be holding “Let’s Play Board Games!” (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM). Junior and senior high school students can experience analog games that are fun. We’ve selected easy games that can be completed in a short amount of time, so feel free to drop by with friends. On Sunday, October 26th, we’ll be holding the “Exciting Wildlife Observation Event” (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM), with the cooperation of the Biology Club of Sakuragaoka Junior and Senior High School. You can scoop up freshwater shrimp and observe the wildlife near the entrance to Minacle. You can take home the freshwater shrimp you scoop, so why not try raising them at home? Also on the 26th, we’ll be holding our monthly DVD screening. To coincide with Halloween, we’ll be screening the animated film “The Lazy Witch Fuka and the Witch of Darkness” (59 minutes). There will be two screenings: at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Enter and leave as you please.
