Press Release: October 3, 2025 [Kairindo Bookstore, Established 50 Years Ago] “Let’s start your book life” — before and after reading. A series of events will be held in October and November to spread the joy of books from Nara. We embody our mission of “Supporting everyone’s book life.” We will hold an in-store fair called “I Love Books,” as well as events where you can experience the “creation, discovery, appreciation, and writing down” of books with literary critics, editors, publishers, and poets. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Keirindo Bookstore Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yamatokoriyama City, Nara Prefecture / President and CEO: Koichi Hayashida) will be holding a series of events and in-store fairs from mid-October to mid-November 2025, expanding the reading experience beyond the traditional bookstore experience of “encountering a book” to include “the moment a book is born,” “how to read a book,” and “how you feel about it afterward.” The special website provides details about the in-store fair “Crazy About Books” and accepts applications to participate in four talk/workshop events.
