Press Release: October 3, 2025 Opening Event Report for “Silver Planet / Weaving Time, Spinning Dreams — Japan-Taiwan Co-Creation Exhibition” A new message from Japan and Taiwan to an aging society Mr. We invited Eyeball (Dr. Eyeball) to exhibit works from our “Silver Planet” art project, which focuses on the super-aging society. The exhibition has opened at the Citizens’ Corner on the first floor of Hitoyoshi City Hall in Kumamoto Prefecture and at Aoi Aso Shrine, a national treasure. This
exhibition, planned and organized by our company, LOCAL TO LOCAL Co., Ltd., as part of Japan-Taiwan cultural exchange, expresses the lives and stories of the elderly as art, in an attempt to reexamine the “value of aging” across generations, regions, and borders. Image

(Photo: Hitoyoshi City Hall) On the day, following the opening performance, our company’s representative Zhang Zixuan delivered an opening address, followed by a congratulatory speech from Hitoyoshi Mayor Hayato Matsuoka, and Mr. Eyeball introduced his work. Seven local residents who modeled for the piece also attended and shared their experiences. Mr. Eyeball stated, “As an artist, I want to continue exploring ways I can contribute to society,” and model Setsuko Honda commented, “I realized that aging is not a tragedy, but a joy and a way of life.” The venue was filled with empathy and emotion that transcended generations. In addition, there was a dance performance by a Taiwanese artist and a singing
performance by the work’s models, Junko Hayashi and Yumami Hayashi, making this a very meaningful event for cultural exchange. Image

Through this project, a new social experiment has begun, transforming the lives and stories of seniors into a source of community strength. We will continue to spread the story of Hitoyoshi to Taiwan and Asia, centered on art, culture, and exchange, and work to create a model for stimulating society from the local area.
