(President and CEO: Yoshihisa Shimada, Head Office: We have formed an executive committee with Shochiku Haunted House (Head Office: 3-18 Kawagishi-cho, Chuo-ku, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture) to host “Exploring Horror – The World of Film Art,” an exhibition where you can enjoy the visual art of horror films (planned and produced by Shochiku Obakeya Honpo), at Space 634 on the 5th floor of Tokyo Solamachi(R). And now, we have released the promotional video for “Exploring Horror – The World of Film Art.” This video weaves in scenes from the Niigata Prefectural Science Museum, which attracted 32,000 visitors last year, and gives a concrete feel for the experience of seeing, taking pictures, touching, and having fun on a horror movie set. In addition to YouTube and Shochiku Obakeya Honpo Official X, this video will also be broadcast at Tokyo Dome City Visions starting Monday, October 6th. It is an experiential exhibition where visitors can not only “look” at the exhibits, but also “take pictures” and “touch” them as they like. All of the artworks in the venue were directed by art directors with many years of experience in the Japanese film industry. Film art
incorporates various gimmicks and ingenuity that cannot be seen through the screen. While film art is usually destroyed once filming is complete, this exhibition will showcase art that is not usually on display. In addition to the exhibits that were well-received at the Niigata exhibition, many new works have been added.
