Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo and Columbia Business School. Joined Sumitomo Bank in 1991. After working at the
international and domestic branches of the foreign management consulting firm Bain & Company, he decided to pursue a career as a professional manager. After serving as Executive Officer and General Manager of Corporate Planning at Bayer Yakuhin, he held top management positions at four companies, including Omron Colin and St. Jude Medical. Since 2019, he has served as CEO of the Tryte Group, a medical and welfare human resources company, and successfully listed the company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market. Comment from Editor Akinori Murashima “If I become president tomorrow, what will change and how?” Every minute of a meeting, the courage to say no, the distance between people and the organization—a series of decisions that can’t be explained with nice words. This book depicts the down-to-earth yet life-sized daily life of a “president” in heartfelt words, from how to use time to coordinating with stakeholders. It also squarely confronts the loneliness and weight of responsibility, and even captures the scent of sweat on the front lines.
