On October 12th, we will be performing in the second part of “THE Madang Festival,” an event commemorating the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea!

Currently, the group has over 25 members, and continues to work toward building a bridge between Korea and Japan through Korean pop and folk music. Through 35 years of diligent practice and accumulated passion, the group will perform at the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 on September 26, 2025.

Established in 1991, the Omoni Chorus returns to its founding principle of serving as a “bridge between Japan and South Korea” and will sing classic Japanese and Korean songs with all its heart. The voices of Korean “Omoni” (mothers) in Japan are filled with feelings for their homeland, their days in Japan, and their desire for peace and coexistence. This performance embodies the desire to connect people through music, transcending cultures and generations. We believe that song has a mysterious power that transcends countries and languages. We will sing with all our hearts, hoping that this performance will warm your hearts and become an opportunity to foster further friendship and understanding between Japan and Korea.
