locally-originated event was started by volunteers, including local businesses, with the desire to “restore the joy of meeting people and sharing laughs.” The venue will be the open riverside area along the Tama River. A diverse program including music, food, and art will be held, creating new excitement and opportunities for interaction with local artists and creators. Visitors will be able to rediscover the unique charms of their hometown, while first-time visitors will also be able to discover new things and make new connections. This event is designed to be enjoyed by everyone, from families and friends, local residents and visitors from far away. We aim to continue holding this event in the future as an effort to build the future of the region together and spread smiles and friendships. He formed the group “MOROHA” in 2008 and is in charge of rap. He is currently on hiatus and is pursuing solo music and the group “Tenten Takataka.” In 2023, he starred as an actor in the film “Sayonara Hoyaman,” winning the Sponichi Grand Prix Newcomer Award at the 78th Mainichi Film Awards and the Japan Movie Critics Award for Best New Actor. He has narrated many shows, including the “ABC Comedy Grand Prix” and the TV commercial “Galaxy S7 edge.” His writing career includes essay collections “My Dangerous One” and “Tokyo Shikkaku,” and he also writes a column for the Shinano Mainichi Shimbun. His favorite pick-up line is, “I want to see your bookshelf.” A hard worker who does all sorts of things.

multi-instrumentalist, primarily focusing on bass. After releasing a self-produced album, he released “GOLFF.” He has expanded his range of activities, producing for various artists, providing music and remixes for apparel brands and corporate commercials, and participating as a supporting musician. In 2022, he released “NEUE,” along with a vinyl version containing additional bonus tracks.

He started rapping in Shimane Prefecture and has now moved his base of operations to Tokyo. As a new member of society, he became depressed from work, which prompted him to begin a full-fledged musical career as a form of self-expression. He was crowned the first winner of “NIKKEI RAP LIVE VOICE,” a competition where participants rap about social issues. He later lost in the video screening for ABEMA’s “Rap Star 2024,” but gained attention on social media. In August of the same year, he formed the duo Legal Nerd Boyz with TOKYO Sekai and trackmaker SKINNY YMT. Aside from his musical activities, he has also started a podcast called “Legal Nerd Boyz’s Family Futon.”

He began his career as a hip-hop DJ in Tokyo in 1996, and in 2001 formed the sound crew “BIG BLAZE WILDERS,” fusing hip-hop and dancehall. He was one of the first to bring the authentic Southern style he experienced during his extended stay in New York and the clubs and streets of Atlanta to Japan, garnering support from many rappers. His collaboration with SIMON and Y’s, “TEQUILA, GIN OR HENNY,” and his mixtapes, gained him popularity, and he has established himself as a presence in both clubs and live venues, even serving as a solo DJ for SEEDA’s live shows. His own mixtape, “You Know What It Iz The Mixtape,” won the Grand Prize in the International category at the UK’s Official Mixtape Awards. He is currently active as a DJ representing Japanese hip hop, producing a new mixtape with SEEDA and creating official mixes for popular artists.

Selected through auditions from 19 courses, the group’s diverse members possess a variety of special skills and personalities. The group’s name, “MARUKADO,” comes from the symbol “Marcato,” which refers to the clear playing of each note, and the ever-changing, even contradictory, “circle and corner.” Last year, MARUKADO held a free live concert, “100 Years of Intro,” at Nippon Budokan. They welcomed four new members in August and are currently active.

Currently, under the guidance of Genichi Yuzawa, head instructor of the Studio Hogaku Academy, the group is based in a studio in Saiwai Ward, Kawasaki City. Under the motto “Harmonious and Lively,” which has been important since the group’s inception, our diverse members unite and practice daily in a harmonious atmosphere.
