Currently, we have 15 active members. Our members range from the youngest, a first-year junior high school student, to those in their late 80s. Our goal is to have fun, improve each member’s photography skills, and promote interaction among members. Each member works on their own theme and engages in photography activities. However, each year we decide on a common theme and create works for a photo exhibition. This year’s theme is “vitality.” Our activities are based on monthly photography sessions and monthly work study sessions under the guidance of instructors to hone our sense of creating works. At the monthly meetings, we hold a popularity vote for the works brought by each member. After instruction and example study by instructors and fellow members, we then hold a discussion session with everyone to help improve our members’ skills. As of January of this year, the instructor has been replaced by Ms. Yukiko Kojima. At this year’s “Pleasant Club Photo Exhibition,” we will be showcasing approximately 60 photos, including three free-themed works and one assigned project, that each member has worked on over the past year. In our 104th year since our founding, we aim to further invigorate our activities.
