The illustration is burned onto Spanish tile and then processed into a magnet using PENON’s proprietary technology. Based on illustrations by local creators, Minatomachi Ceramica Kobo in Onagawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture, produced 15cm square Spanish tiles. These tiles were then scanned and turned into three-dimensional objects using PENON’s unique printing technology. This three-step process resulted in the creation of “Traveling Magnets” that make the most of the characteristics of Spanish tiles.
