National heroine Mao Asada returns to her hometown of Osu, Nagoya, to talk with her mentor, coach Machiko Yamada. She shares her memories of Nagoya, the Grand Prix series, and other behind-the-scenes stories from her days as an active skater! Plus, comedian New York strolls around Osu, the mecca of figure skating. They sample gourmet food from famous restaurants, including Osu’s specialty “Mao-chan Fried Rice,” the secret menu of Coach Machiko’s favorite cafe, and mitarashi dango, a favorite among active skaters! During the conversation, Mao reminisced about her training in Osu, her youthful memories, and her performances in the Grand Prix series, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from her time as an active skater and her feelings at the time. Furthermore, as Mao takes a new step as a skating instructor, she consults with Coach Machiko about her concerns about teaching methods and nurturing the next generation of skaters. Coach Machiko also offered warm encouragement as she embarks on her journey as a coach. “Strolling around Osu, the Mecca of New York” Comedian New York strolls through the bustling Osu district, a mecca for figure skating, with former Japanese national figure skater and Me-Tele employee, Yuhana Yokoi.
