industry-academia collaboration project with Joshibi University of Art and Design The children’s book section, “Miraya no Mori,” provides a space to teach children the joy of learning and reading, focusing on picture books, children’s reading materials, and educational books. In addition to allowing you to leisurely choose a book with your young child, we also offer online storytimes on the large monitors in the store. What’s more, customers can watch the storytelling live on their smartphones, allowing them to enjoy a high-quality storytelling experience both in-store and at home. For this renovation, we signed a joint research agreement with Joshibi University of Art and Design and jointly developed the store’s interior. We planned and created a design in which the white wagtail, Itabashi Ward’s indigenous bird, travels through the city, eventually arriving at the Itabashi Bologna Picture Book Library, an iconic landmark.
