Special exhibition of winning works from “Unleash Your Genius,” an art competition jointly organized by Italian brand Moleskine and Osaka University of Arts. ■ “Unleash Your Genius” Special Exhibition October 16 (Thurs) – October 21 (Tues), 2025 Osaka University of Arts, Arts Information Center, Corridor Gallery Osaka University of Arts (Tsukamoto Gakuin Educational Corporation / Location: Minamikawachi District, Osaka Prefecture / President: Kunihiko Tsukamoto) will be holding an art competition, “Unleash Yourself,” in collaboration with Italian brand Moleskine, at the university’s Art Information Center Corridor Gallery from October 16th (Thurs) to October 21st (Tues), 2025. We will be holding a special exhibition of the award-winning works from the “Genius” competition. The award-winning works on display this time were exhibited internationally at the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, and have also been touring exhibits at Moleskine retail stores nationwide, attracting significant attention. This special exhibition will feature the three Grand Prize and two Excellence Prize winning works that were also exhibited at the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, as well as seven posters exhibited at Moleskine retail stores across Japan, as well as artworks created using Moleskine notebooks.

■Background of the joint project Moleskine, the Italian brand inspired by the legendary notebooks used by artists such as Van Gogh and Picasso, launched a joint project with Osaka University of Arts in April 2025 as a campaign to convey the brand’s message, “Unleash Your Genius.” This initiative took place as part of the “Design Project” class for third-year Design Department students in the first half of the 2025 semester, and was supervised by Visiting Professor Etsuzo Yamazumi of the same department. The 23 participating students expressed the theme of “Unleashing Talent” using a variety of ideas, photographing their finished works and creating posters. Each student submitted a diverse range of posters that showcased their creativity. After a first round of judging on campus and an online judging session with Moleskine, the winning works were selected. ■Special exhibition of award-winning works from the “Unleash Your Genius” competition that attracted attention at the Osaka-Kansai Expo These top-winning works were exhibited at Moleskine’s global traveling exhibition “Detour Osaka,” which opened at the Italian Pavilion at the Osaka Kansai Expo from Thursday, July 31st to Saturday, August 23rd, 2025. In addition, some of the works that won the Grand Prize, Excellence Prize, and Encouragement Prize were exhibited at Moleskine stores nationwide from Thursday, August 14th to Tuesday, September 30th, attracting the attention of many people. This special exhibition will feature three works (the Grand Prize and two Excellence Prize winners) that were also exhibited at the Italian Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, as well as seven posters and artworks created from Moleskine notebooks that were exhibited at Moleskine retail stores across Japan. Each poster was created using Roland DG’s cutting-edge UV printing technology, achieving a vivid, three-dimensional texture that combines the students’ free creativity with cutting-edge technology.
