■The Kyoto Prefectural Government Area Street Corner Museum Executive Committee (Secretariat: Kyoto Prefecture) will be hosting the “Agency for Cultural Affairs and Prefectural Government Area Street Corner Museum,” featuring 40 facilities in the Kyoto Prefectural Government and Agency for Cultural Affairs area. ■In addition to events such as special facilities open to the public only during this period, art exhibitions, and workshop tours, there will also be a stamp rally around the venue. 1 Event period Saturday, October 25th – Monday, November 24th (holiday) (Dates vary by venue.) 2. Contents ○ A variety of events will be held at 40 facilities around the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Prefectural Office. Experience a variety of
experiences, including making a kaleidoscope using Nishijin-ori cloth, a traditional Kyoto craft, and braiding cords. ○ Stamp Rally: Collect five stamps from 34 venues and enter to win a commemorative prize. In addition to the regular stamp rally, there will also be a contactless stamp rally where you can enter by scanning a QR code with your smartphone. 3. Currently, more than half of the facilities have served as executive committee members since the project’s inception. The Policy Division of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, which carried out the advance relocation to Kyoto in fiscal year 2017, has been participating in this initiative as an observer since fiscal year 2018 as part of the Agency’s efforts to “unearth local culture” in the wake of the relocation to Kyoto.
