Bi-ray, the four-member girl vocal group produced by YOSHIKI, was selected as the “Next Generation Rising Star” at the 116th Anniversary Dinner & Gala hosted by the Japan America Society of Southern California (JASSC) in Los Angeles on October 16th. It has been announced that Bi-ray received the Rising Star Award. Bi-ray originally appeared via video message, but at the organizers’ strong request, producer YOSHIKI quickly returned to LA and accepted the award on their behalf. The award ceremony was broadcast the following day on Los Angeles television station KTLA’s news. This category is extremely important, as it recognizes individuals or groups who represent the future of Japan-U.S. relations, or next-generation leaders and artists who are working to build bridges between the two countries. This year’s awards ceremony also recognized Frank Buckley, the face of Los Angeles’ most influential news program, KTLA Morning News, for his many years of contributions to mutual understanding and cultural exchange between Japan and the United States. Previous recipients of the International Citizenship Award include MLB player Shohei Ohtani. Bi-ray’s recognition as a representative of his generation has garnered significant attention, and the ceremony, held during a traditional dinner gathering government officials, business leaders, cultural figures, and artists from both Japan and the United States, has become a symbolic stage for U.S.-Japan exchange on the West Coast. When YOSHIKI appeared at the awards ceremony, many Japanese and American VIPs rushed over, turning it into a signing session. Furthermore, at the request of the organizers, he performed “Endless Rain” at short notice, moving the audience with emotion and adding a touch of glamour to the ceremony. “Bi-ray” is YOSHIKI’s debut song, “Butterfly,” which he wrote and composed. The song made its global debut in June 2025. It was used as the theme song for the Hollywood film “BRIDE HARD” (starring Rebel Wilson and directed by Simon West). The music video has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube, eliciting a global response. It has also received high praise from international media, including features in leading American music magazines Rolling Stone and SPIN. ▶【Beautiful Bi-ray “Butterfly” – Debut Single, produced by YOSHIKI】

Star-Spangled Banner,” at an MLB official game held at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home stadium in April 2025. This was an unusual selection for a new artist, and their dignified performance garnered significant attention. The offer was initially made to YOSHIKI based on his track record, including performing both the Japanese and US national anthems at the 2025 MLB Japan Opening Game. However, as a producer, it was Bi-ray who pushed for the role, making it a reality. It’s these experiences on the global stage that likely led to this award. YOSHIKI congratulated the girls, saying, “I’m honored to have produced such talented artists, and I’m truly happy to be able to witness this occasion.” He also spoke of his expectations and expectations for the girls. This award is proof that “Bi-ray” has earned international acclaim just a few months after their debut, and we can expect even greater success in the future. Official Site:
