■Providing a place where people can share and empathize with each other in the present moment “Carpe diem” (Seize the Now) is a talk event that invites prominent figures from various fields to discuss their current state of affairs in an attempt to discover the greatest value in the present moment. Since its inception in 2016, the event has aimed to provide a space where speakers and attendees can share and empathize with each other in the present moment. Starting in 2022, in addition to the traditional talks and presentations, a new series of dialogues will be launched. ■ A Conversation between Ko Machida and Koichi Makiage This “Carpe diem” is the seventh installment of the conversation series.
