[Author Profile] tupera tupera Tupera tupera A duo consisting of Tatsuya Kameyama and Atsuko Nakagawa. They are active in a wide range of fields, including picture books and illustration, as well as art direction for TV, theater, and space. His many books include “Polar Bear’s Pants” (Bronze Shinsha), “Panda Bathhouse” (Ehonkan), “Face Note” (Kokuyo), “Vegetable-san” (Gakken), “Various Buses” (Dainippon Tosho), “Unko Shiritori” (Hakusensha), and “Tupera Tupera’s Idea Pocket” (Mishimasha). His works have been translated and published in various countries overseas. He also served as art director for the NHK Educational TV craft program “Nosey’s Inspiration Workshop.” He won the Grand Prize at the 23rd Japan Picture Book Awards for “Animal Encyclopedia of the Giant Cabbage” (Alicekan). In 2019, he received the Grand Prize at the 1st Yanase Takashi Cultural Awards.
