As she celebrates 20 years in the entertainment industry, she has announced the release of a memorial photo book, which she says will be her “final.” The book is scheduled for release by Kodansha in 2026. This is her first photo book in nearly 14 years, since 2012. The location chosen for the shoot was Vienna, Austria, in Central Europe. The entire series was carefully shot throughout the city, steeped in history, art, and music. The theme is “adult love,” capturing the dignified beauty of a woman in her 30s and her poignant expressions as she fluctuates between dreamlike moments with her beloved and reality, captured in the light of Vienna. Highlight 1] Her first photobook in 14 years! Maeda Atsuko’s mature allure blossoms 14 years have passed since her last photobook. 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of her entertainment career, and now 34-year-old Maeda, and this photobook fully expresses her charm as a mature woman. This work also focuses on body building and daily beauty routines. She showed off her perfect body line, which she achieved by pushing herself so stoically that she said, “Even if I were asked to do it again, I don’t think I could do it again.” 【Highlight 2】Set in Vienna, the theme is “adult love.” Taking on the biggest exposure yet The theme of this work is “adult love.” We aimed to create an intimate and delicate world of spending time alone with the person you love, making you think, “I want to experience a love like that.” As she herself says, “I approached this book with the desire to create a work of art together with the creative team,” she held numerous discussions with the creators about the concept, costumes, and even the finest details of hair and makeup, and carefully photographed each shot. This book truly embodies the story of adult love as an artist, Atsuko Maeda. We also paid particular attention to the costumes that match the theme, and we wear a variety of styling that women can use as inspiration and lingerie that makes them want to try it. As she said, “As this is my last photobook, I want to give it my all without any regrets,” highlights include her wistful yet sensual expressions and her bolder exposure than her previous photobooks.
