Enjoy a stroll through the museum at night, which offers a different atmosphere from the daytime, as the trees and historic buildings begin to change color and are beautifully illuminated with soft light, and the buildings are illuminated with warm lights. You can also experience the history and warmth of lighting through experiences using traditional lighting such as lanterns and gas lamps, and events where you can light a fire in the hearth of a private home or the fireplace of a Western-style building.

Patterns|Silhouettes of various patterns appear in the windows facing Yamanote-dori. ������Craft Paper-Cut Building Patterns | *Sign language interpretation included/Make paper cutouts of patterns found on the park’s buildings and use them to make lanterns (11/22 only, limited seating available). ������Enjoy Shadow Plays in a Private Home | *Sign language interpretation available / Enjoy a story told through projected paper cuttings (11/23 only, limited seating available). ������Path of Bamboo Lanterns | A row of bamboo lanterns decorated with traditional Japanese patterns and seasonal designs.
������Reflection of Maple Leaves | Enjoy the trees reflected on the reflectors on the second floor of the Takahashi Korekiyo Residence along with the view of the garden. ������Candle Night | Approximately 1,000 candles will flicker magically. ������Food Truck Stalls | Stalls offering hot drinks and light meals will be set up. This open-air museum relocates, restores, preserves, and exhibits 30 historical buildings of great cultural value that were built between the Edo period and the mid-Showa period and are difficult to preserve on-site.
