(headquarters: Fukuoka City) will present a new light experience space at Eijuin Temple during the “Hakata Old Town Light-Up Walk,” which will be held from Friday, October 31, 2025 to Monday, November 3, 2025 (national holiday).

Hakata Old Town Light-Up Walk, a fall tradition that has been held since 2006, is a popular event where temples, shrines, and historical sites scattered throughout Hakata’s Old Town are illuminated, allowing visitors to enjoy a nighttime stroll. This time, non-classic Inc. will be participating for the first time and will be creating a spatial presentation at Eijuin Temple, one of the venues. While the venue has previously focused on illuminations, this time we have incorporated a new form of expression into the installation, in which light and sound interact.

Approach | A tranquil “gateway of light” On the approach to the temple grounds, lights surround the footpath, quietly welcoming visitors. The light floating in the darkness transforms the time you spend walking into the temple into a special experience.

Veranda | A moment of quiet lingering in the afterglow Once you leave the approach, the garden views unfold beyond the veranda. Nestled on the boundary between the building and the garden, this space offers a moment to gaze upon the shifting light as a “borrowed landscape.” Viewers take a moment to calm their breathing before entering the garden, preparing their minds for the world of light they are about to encounter.

Garden (Courtyard) | “lontano,” an installation reflecting the “border” between light and darkness As the day turns to night, the light softly blurs the contours of the garden, illuminating the shadows, such as tiny insects and water circulating underground. It is because of light that darkness deepens, and we become aware of the certainty of invisible beings. ── We weave moments like these.
