The performances of the seven members, featuring outstanding vocal talent, exceptional dance skills, and individual charms, are remarkable. In addition to their diverse musicality, their sincere and empathetic attitude toward listeners and unique
personalities have expanded their fan base, and they have grown into a presence beloved across generations and genders. This time, as part of a joint project between music subscription services “KKBOX” and “au Smart Pass Premium Music,” we surveyed fans to find out BE:FIRST’s most popular songs. From their debut to their latest releases, we’ll look back on the many songs that have defined their career, along with genuine fan comments. BE:FIRST – A new-generation boy group that started with an audition BE:FIRST is a seven-member dance and vocal group consisting of SOTA, SHUNTO, MANATO, RYUHEI, JUNON, RYOKI, and LEO. There’s a part at the end where everyone sings along, and there’s a sense of unity between the artist and the audience, which really moved me. I listen to it to cheer myself up when I feel like crying! (60-64 years old / Female) – It’s a very positive graduation song. The members’ smiles and positive lyrics were soothing. The song is catchy and it’s my favorite. (40-44 years old / Female) ・I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it on au Smart Play Music. It’s just so relaxing to listen to. I love the part where RYUHEI sings “Itsudatte Kimi ga Waratteru” (You’re Always Smiling)! During the DOME TOUR, this was the only song you were allowed to film with your smartphone, and the band members cheered BESTY on with words of encouragement, saying, “Watch it whenever you’re feeling down!” That’s a fond memory. (60-64 years old / Female) – A euphoric song that conveys how freely they enjoy music. I’ll never forget the feeling of singing along at a live show and the whole venue being enveloped in happiness. (45-49 years old / Female) – This is a song I definitely want them to sing at the end of a live performance. Manato wrote it, and the moment the intro starts, I feel a sense of euphoria and gentleness. In a good way, the music video has a similar feel to our performance and our everyday selves. I

(45-49 years old / Female) – I first learned about BE:FIRST when I saw it at the end of “What’s Really Going On?” It’s a truly shocking song. (55-59 years old / Female) – Seeing everyone dancing so hard on the morning show made me want to cheer them on. (Age 55-59 / Female) – A masterpiece that further raised BE:FIRST’s profile. The choreography is also incredibly original! (40-44 years old / Male) ＜BE:FIRST [SOTA] Comment＞ This song shows BE:FIRST’s true identity and direction, and it was a great introduction to hip-hop, a genre that wasn’t very familiar in Japan at the time.
