We would like to inform you that #1 player Junya Gibo, who belongs to the Kings U18, has been accepted to Kokushikan University.
Gibo joined the Kings U18 as a first-year student, and after playing for the Kings U15, he has been active with the Kings Youth for about six years. Armed with a high rate of 3-point shooting and a sharp drive, he leads the team as a source of points. He is currently honing his dribbling skills in the pick-and-roll, and is beginning to expand his range of activities as a point guard.
We will continue to support Gibo, who has demonstrated his presence as a spiritual pillar of the Kings U18s and made great contributions as a member of the first generation of Kings U18s, in his next step. Mr. Gibo will be participating in the “B.LEAGUE U18 CHAMPIONSHIP” which started on November 30th (Thursday), so please continue to support him.
▽#1 Comment from Junya Gibo
I have decided to enter Kokushikan University. I am grateful to the people who have supported me every day without taking it for granted to be able to play basketball. In particular, at Kings Youth, I was able to play in an environment similar to that of a professional, and I was able to learn about basketball IQ and techniques, which allowed me to grow.
From now on, I will learn basketball under Mr. Matsushima from Okinawa, who is the son of my teacher from Koza Junior High School. I strive every day to grow and get closer to my dreams. From now on, we look forward to your continual support.
