This is the third year that the SDGs activity report meeting has been held. We started this year with a focus on economically sustainable activities, taking into consideration the balance between society, economy, and environment. “SDGs x Tourism – Creating a city where people can continue to live”, “Students design initiatives to create a vibrant city”, “Leap to the future: Niigata Airport Revitalization Project”, “SDGs Coffee – Connecting people with nature” We have been divided into four teams, “A New Bridge~”, and have been working on this as a class since April.
Marketing by companies with the cooperation of corporate organizations active in SDGs activities in the prefecture, such as Docomo Business Solutions Co., Ltd., Meitetsu Kanko Service Co., Ltd., Niigata Air Service Co., Ltd., and the Town Development Support Division of the Niigata Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We were able to carry out a wide variety of collaborative classes, including lectures, event planning and management, joint product development, and joint research activities.

After each team’s presentation, we received feedback from each partner company, and an attendee from Niigata Furumachi Machizukuri Co., Ltd. commented, “It was my first time working with professional students, but I was unsure of how to collect questionnaires, analyze
information, and utilize data.” It was very informative from a young person’s perspective.I want to continue thinking about revitalizing the city together in the future.”Also, an attendee from Suzuki Coffee Co., Ltd., which co-developed the SDGs-type coffee, said, “It was a wonderful experience in a short period of time.” They created a product. They were able to create a product with a sense of speed, and I think they were able to create a product that only students could create. I hope they continue to do so, such as by donating the proceeds from the sales of this product to marine environmental conservation.” I did.
Next year, we will continue to carry out SDGs activities in
collaboration with companies from various industries across all subjects and grades, and plan to hold an activity report meeting at the end of November.
