We will hold the first large-scale exhibition “DESIGNS Mamoru Nagano Design Exhibition” by Mamoru Nagano, a designer who creates unique worlds such as his masterpiece “Five Star Story” and mechanical design and character design for TV animation. Since Mamoru Nagano began his career in 1983, he has continued to create unique and innovative designs at the forefront. In the TV anime “Heavy Fighter L-Gaim” (produced by Sunrise), which aired from 1984 to 1985, he designed all the mecha, including the robots, and all the characters, which became a big topic of conversation. The robot’s multi-jointed frame structure and the characters’ various fashions in this work influenced subsequent anime works. We have created a new design that has been inherited and evolved in “Five Star Story”, which began serialization in “Monthly New Type” in 1986 and is still being serialized today. “DESIGNS Mamoru Nagano Design Exhibition” will feature works before their commercial debut, “Heavy Fighter L-Gaim”, “Mobile Suit Z Gundam”, “Brain Powered”, “Shell Blit”, “Five Star Story”, “Flower Poet Gothic Maid”, etc. Approximately 340 items, including original drawings, illustrations, setting drawings, and rough sketches, will be carefully selected and exhibited from the works created so far. At this exhibition, we also plan to sell original goods. Please take this opportunity to experience Nagano Design for yourself.
