Olandu, a small molecule discovered in carob, opens up a new dimension in endogenous anti-aging solutions.
Taking on a global challenge: “endogenous” production of collagen. The production of this collagen cannot keep up with the speed of its disappearance. The result is a lack of collagen and even aging of the skin.
Type I collagen is what you should pay attention to in the skin’s surface layer. The fullness of this “I type” tightens the facial skin and lifts the contours. Initial research attempted to replenish this collagen through external application. This is the so-called research phase “1.0.” However, type I collagen is said to have the highest molecular weight (usually over 300,000 Daltons), making it difficult to penetrate the skin when applied externally.
After that, the research goal shifted to improving the skin’s internal environment. The logic is that it stimulates collagen production by strengthening cell vitality and matrix. This will be called the “2.0” phase. Although it is described as an “endogenous anti-aging” measure, in this phase it was all about indirect methods and had issues in terms of efficiency.
