Fujitsu Limited
Fujitsu joins the “Health Management Alliance”
……
Our company has recently joined the Health Management Alliance, which was established on June 30, 2023.
The Health Management Alliance is an organization of 290 companies and organizations (as of November 30) that share the vision of
“revitalizing Japanese companies and realizing the sustainability of health insurance through the health of their employees.”
In order to maintain and improve the physical and mental health of our employees, we have collaborated with universities, companies, and others to provide cancer prevention (Note 1) and headache prevention (Note 2), as well as bone evaluation using chest X-rays (Note 2). We are promoting various measures such as Note 3).
Through participation in this alliance, we will pursue the
sustainability of Japanese companies by creating an environment where employees can work in good physical and mental health by sharing knowledge and know-how regarding health management across industries, while also increasing medical costs. We will contribute to the creation of a health management platform to solve social issues such as:
【background】
Our group places emphasis on providing value to customers and society through business, and has defined three essential areas of
contribution (materiality), one of which is improving people’s well-being. As a specific initiative, under Fujitsu Uvance, which aims to realize a sustainable world, in the area of ”Healthy Living” that maximizes the life experience of everyone, we not only provide continuous health education to employees, but also provide continuous health education to employees. We provide medical and health data utilization infrastructure (Note 4) to medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies.
In the Health Management Alliance, in addition to exchanging information with other participating companies about initiatives and the use of evaluation indicators related to health management, we also collect various data, mainly our own health information, by comparing trends in employee health data. We will promote the utilization of this information and further strengthen health management. In addition, by providing health management solutions that utilize this knowledge, we will not only extend Japan’s healthy life expectancy, but also contribute to solving social issues such as optimizing health insurance financing and suppressing medical costs.
Main initiatives of the Health Management Alliance
At the Health Management Alliance, we will identify data-driven issues, implement solutions, and evaluate various measures through the promotion of collaborative health collaboration between companies and health insurance plans. In addition, by steadily implementing the PDCA cycle based on the data health plan, we will co-create solutions for shaping health management and generating results, and implement them in industry.
1. Design of health management evaluation indicators
We design KPIs for health management that will properly evaluate health management initiatives and results and contribute to improving corporate value.
2. Creation of health management assessment based on data analysis We are currently considering a framework for a “health management assessment” that will help identify and visualize health issues by utilizing the analysis results of health checkup/receipt data and employee questionnaires. We aim to help our members promote health in collaboration with health insurance and labor personnel.
3. Building an information platform for various solutions
We accumulate information on various solutions necessary for creating results in health management. We will build a database based on the experience of implementing solutions and effectiveness verification results of participating companies and organizations, and share information on how to select solutions that suit your company’s challenges. We will use the collective knowledge of many companies and organizations to increase the learning speed of implementing solutions, instead of the limited trial and error that a single company can perform.
Four. Holding study sessions/seminars
We hold study sessions and seminars to improve health management literacy and skills for management, human resources, and health insurance personnel.
