Sasaichi Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Otsuki City, Yamanashi, Representative Director: Rei Amano, hereinafter referred to as “Sasaichi Sake Brewery”) is a long-established sake brewery with a history of over 360 years and is located at the entrance of the Yamanashi Sake Highway. We have decided to additionally produce and sell “Sasaichi Hatsushibori Nama”, a new sake brewed with deep groundwater from Fuji and Misaka and sake rice from Yamanashi Prefecture, from our line of sake brand “Sasaichi”.
Additional sales will begin from December 12th at the brewery’s directly managed shop “Sasaichi Sake Yukan” and the official online store (https://www.sasaichi.com/).

Sasaichi first squeezed raw
“Sasaichi’s first squeezed raw” sold out faster than expected “Sasaichi Hatsushibori Nama” is the first raw sake to mark the beginning of the brewery’s new brewing season, and is available only seasonally. Brewed with sake rice grown deep underground in Fuji Misaka and from Yamanashi Prefecture, the freshly squeezed sake is immediately bottled. This sake has a refreshing sweetness, moderate acidity, and a green taste, giving it a refreshing, fresh, young fruit feel. Due to the popularity exceeding expectations, the first production run sold out immediately. In response to requests from many customers, we have decided to produce additional products and will be selling them for a limited time at Sasaichi Sakeyukan and the online store.

Sasaichi Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. is located in Otsuki City, the entrance to Yamanashi Prefecture’s Sake Highway, and was founded in 1661 as Hanadaya. It is a company with a history of more than 300 years, which was later renamed and integrated into the current Sasaichi Sake Brewery in 1919 by Hisashi Amano, who inherited Hanadaya and became the first brewer. “Sasaichi” is derived from the character “Sasa”, which was used to mean sake, and the character “ichi”, which represents Mt. Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan, and represents our desire to brew the best sake. Since our founding, we have been brewing sake using deep groundwater in the Fuji/Misaka Mountains and rice grown in Yamanashi, and even though we are a sake brewery, we have also been brewing wine. We are celebrating 70 years of farming and wine making. We want to turn the many blessings of this land into delicious sake and deliver it to the local people.
